The Mission of the Carroll County Historical Society is to acquire and preserve the History and Genealogy of Carroll County, Indiana, and promote the understanding to the Region, State and Nation, convey and teach the significance of Carroll County, Indiana's history to children and adults with exhibits, programs, research and genealogy.

Price of meal is $10.00 a person and need to RSVP by Sept 27, 2012 by calling the museum at 765-564-3152.

Open to any member of the Carroll County Historical Society or anyone that would like to join.

 

Ribbon Cutting

The Carroll County Historical Society held a ribbon cutting at The Stone Barn in Delphi, IN.

The Peirce Stone Barn will be available to rent out the Peirce Hall around the first of September, look for details in the near future. It will be available for reunions, meetings, or small get togethers.

Thank You to the Delphi Chamber of Commerce for the ribbon cutting and your support in CCHS.

We are in the process of making several improvements to The Stone Barn. We have recently had professionals come in and do a ceiling to floor cleaning, we have installed new doors, and have had the insulation upgraded to make it more energy efficient. Why we have done all of this there is still a lot that needs done so that we will be able to move in and occupy the building. If you would like to volunteer to help with clean up and moving please call or email the museum.

 


2012 Memberships

 We have currently updated out mailing list. Current Members will be the only one getting newsletters by mailing due to budget cuts. If you have an email address we would like for you to send it to us so that we may send the newsletter via email. Please email us at carrollcountyhistoricalsociety@ffni.com if you would like to be added to our email list.

As of January 2008, the Carroll County Historical Museum no longer receives funding for staff from the County. Volunteers from the Carroll County Historical Society will keep the Museum open and provide assistance to those interested in visiting our exhibits. We will also continue to provide assistance to those doing genealogical research on Carroll County families.

If you would like to become a volunteer at the Museum, please contact the museum at 765-564-3152. Of course, you can also support the Museum by becoming a member of the Carroll County Historical Society.
